A graduate from Oxford University, Sofia has joined Centil in 2006. Prior to joining our team, Sofia worked as an associate for the Tashkent office of the City London international law firm.

Sofia has considerable experience in the banking and finance sector advising on wide range of issues related to lending operations with multinationals and development banks, several milestone project finance deals, equity acquisition projects, cross-border derivative transactions, factoring transactions, insolvency of banks and general insolvency issues.

  • Asian Development Bank on financing of four dialysis centers in Uzbekistan
  • EBRD on the transaction for financing by EBRD of Asaka Bank, Sanoat Qurilish Bank (UzPSB) and other Uzbek banks for the growth of small and medium enterprise portfolio
  • The consortium of international commercial banks on financing of the construction of two wind power plants in Bach and Dzhankedy regions of Uzbekistan
  • The consortium of international commercial banks on financing of the construction of two wind power plants in Nukus, Karakalpakstan, Republic of Uzbekistan
