Power and Transmission Deal of the Year - Surkhandarya CCGT Power Plant
The Firm acted as a local counsel to the lenders. The Project involves the design, construction, maintenance and operation of a greenfield combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant of 1,590MW capacity and associated infrastructure in Surkhandarya region in Uzbekistan with the total project cost is estimated to be about $1.2bn. The Project is being developed by Stone City Energy, EDF, Siemens Energy and Nebras Power QSC
Renewable Deal of the Year - Bukhara PPP Solar and Battery Project (Winner in MENA region & Winner - Solar in APAC region)
The Firm acted as a local counsel to IFC - International Finance Corporation and to the Government of Uzbekistan on the procurement, development, construction, operation and financing to fund a combined 250MW Solar PV plant with a 63MW battery energy storage system in Uzbekistan. This includes a unique WB guarantee package and is the first renewable energy initiative in Central Asia with an integrated BESS component.
