Maksud joined Centil Law Firm in 2017 and previously worked at one of the leading law firms in Kazakhstan. He has over 12 years of professional experience specializing in corporate law, M&A transactions, and cross-border matters involving Uzbek law.

His experience includes advising on all stages of M&A transactions, including legal due diligence, merger control clearance, drafting and negotiating SPA/SHA documentation under Uzbek law, and reviewing foreign-law transaction documents for compliance with Uzbek legislation. He has also acted on complex cross-border transactions alongside leading international law firms.

Maksud also advises on the establishment, re-registration, reorganization, and liquidation of companies, including companies with foreign investment and representative offices of foreign organizations in Uzbekistan, as well as privatization and other corporate restructuring projects. He provides legal support to foreign and local clients on corporate, antitrust and labor matters across sectors including oil & gas, energy, IT, mining, telecommunications, chemicals, financial services, FMCG and retail.

Advised a leading digital banking group on its acquisition of a majority stake in the developer of one of Uzbekistan’s leading retail automation platforms in a transaction exceeding USD 12 million, including LDD, transaction structuring and Uzbek/English law transaction support
