Valeriya joined Centil in 2017 and is currently a Counsel within the Banking and Finance practice. Having over 15 years of experience in advising clients on various legal issues in Uzbekistan, Valeriya has previously worked for local and regional law firms, and one of the ‘Big Four’ companies.
Valeriya focuses on foreign debt, secured transactions, cross-border trade and receivables finance. Her clients include international financial institutions and foreign commercial banks.
Before joining the banking and finance practice Valeriya has spent many years advising FMCG sector as well as the companies operating in energy sector on commercial contracts and trade, cross-border transactions, and foreign investment.

- Advising as an Uzbek counsel to the local commercial bank on the issuance of dual tranche Eurobonds denominated in USD and UZS
- Advising as an Uzbek counsel to syndicate of lenders in connection with senior unsecured loan facility to a local commercial bank to re-finance small and medium business in Uzbekistan
- Advising one of the international financial institutions in connection with its senior unsecured loan facility to a major beverage company to finance costs relating to the construction of a new plant in Uzbekistan
- Advising as an Uzbek counsel to EBRD in connection with its various finance projects with local business
- Advising as an Uzbek counsel to IFC and ADB on various regulatory matters in connection with senior secured loans to finance the first Uzbekistan IPP Scaling Solar Project in Navoi region (100-megawatt solar photovoltaic power plant)
- Advising a Chinese textile company on its investment project in Uzbekistan
